If you have recently set up camping or glamping facilities or you're organising an outdoor event, then you have probably had the pain of setting up suitable toilet facilities.
It's likely that there is no mains sewage connection and even if you have bought in or hired some portable chemical toilets, you'll have noticed that they fill-up pretty quickly. Pump outs can be expensive and, if your site is off the beaten track, a bit tricky.
So what can you do about it?
One answer could be to use waste holding tanks, which effectively increase the capacity of your portable or site toilets and increase the amount of time between service visits. Pumps and hoses can also be used to transport waste some distance to reduce accessibility problems.
Smaller tanks with up to 500 gallon capacity are light enough to be manhandled (when empty) around your site and positioned out of the way under trailers, mobiles and static caravans. Larger capacity tanks can be installed above or below ground, and may require specialist groundworks and possibly planning permission.
