Need Some Shade. Build a Tuff Tank Cave.
Soaring Summer temperatures meant our yard team needed a bit of shade from the sun. Here's how they found some.
We bang on about the portability of our Tuff Tank effluent and waste water tanks all the time. But not everybody believes us exactly how easy they are to transport and deploy.
With a dry weight of only 110 kilos (243 pounds) Tuff Tanks can be manually moved by a small team (cf "Did We Tell You The Tuff Tank Was REALLY Easy To Move?") and stacked or moved at height with standard fork lifts. It's a real advantage for temporary sites of all kinds, where there is a requirement to shift tanks around or install and remove at short notice.
The recent heatwave provided a great example close to home. Leanne Adams and John Hartley from our yard team were sweltering outside in the sunshine with no real shade. Being resourceful people they decided to do something about it. With a bit of pushing and shoving plus Leanne's skill with the fork lift, lo and behold we have a handy Tuff Tank Cave.
Not only was this an ideal place to cool down it will be just perfect as a hidey-hole from the inevitable thunderstorms that will follow the sunshine.
We don't necessarily recommend that you follow suit but if you are still trying to lug 1000 lb of steel tank around your site, maybe you'll remember the Tuff Tank Cave example?
